The CAHI team was invited to participate in the 2017 Central American Donors Forum, held in Panama City last week. We organized a panel to discuss the important role of partnerships in achieving our goals to improve access to quality healthcare services in the region, featuring CAHI fellows Dr. Alcibíades Batista and Dr. Carlos Faerron. We also assisted with planning a panel about social franchises in health, featuring CAHI fellow Erlin Rugama who has established a chain of pharmacies to provide quality, low-cost medicines to communities previously without access to medicines.
As we approach the end of the year and I reflect on partnerships, I want to thank all of you for your interest in CAHI’s mission and your support of our work. Our network of over 3,000 people, which includes each one of our dedicated fellows and all of you, continues to grow and become more interconnected. We are fortunate to have you as a partner in our work!
We need your support to keep growing our network. Recruiting the next generation of fellows will begin in December and we need your help to find the best candidates, those who have project ideas that will have positive impact on healthcare in the region. We also need your help to ensure that fellows can participate and for that we need to provide scholarships. Please support our scholarship fund today by making a donation. 100% of your support will go directly to scholarships for fellows.
Thank you for being part of our network!
