DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROYECTO
Durante el programa CAHI implementó el proyecto “Salud Virtual” en la Zona Alta Urbano Rural del Municipio de La Palma con pacientes que adolecen de Enfermedades Crónicas no Transmisibles, que consiste en verificar en tiempo real los signos vitales del paciente, mediante una aplicación móvil en un Smartphone desde el médico en la comunidad hasta el Hospital.
El proyecto es clave porque permitirá identificar tempranamente signos de peligro y desarrollar eficazmente el proceso de referencia y retorno, previniendo complicaciones y mejorando la calidad de vida de los pacientes; todo con la finalidad de reducir el perfil de Morbimortalidad generada por las enfermedades Crónicas no Transmisibles.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
During the CAHI Fellows program, Oscar implemented the "Virtual Health" project in the Alta Urbano Rural zone of the municipality of La Palma for patients suffering from noncommunicable, chronic diseases. The project consists of verifying, in real time, the vital signs of the patient using a mobile application on a Smartphone, connecting the doctor in the community to the hospital.
The project is key because it will allow early identification of danger signs and effectively strengthen the patient referral and follow-up process, preventing complications and improving the quality of life of patients. This will, in turn, reduce the morbidity and mortality resulting from chronic, non-communicable diseases.
