DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROYECTO
Durante el programa de CAHI Fellows está desarrollando un proyecto de “Hospital de Día” para atender la demanda de administración intravenosa ambulatoria de medicamentos, por ejemplo, hierro para subir la hemoglobina y combatir la anemia, o bien sustancias para tratar la fragilidad de los huesos u osteoporosis. El sector donde estamos no cuenta con facilidades como la que proponemos, por lo que estamos convencidos que beneficiaríamos directa e indirectamente a las 650 mil personas que son nuestra población objetivo. El Proyecto no tendrá altos costos, puesto que contamos con el área física y el recurso humano. Restaría adquirir los medicamentos, que en estos momentos no son parte de nuestro cuadro básico, equipar/amueblar los recintos y luego poner manos a la obra.

ABOUT RAFAEL DE GRACIA Rafael De Gracia is a medical specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, with a master's degree in Hospital Management. Currently, he serves as Director of the San Miguelito Hospital, the only Hospital of the Ministry of Health -MINSA- for the San Miguelito area.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
During the CAHI Fellows program, I will work to implement "Day Hospital" operations to meet the demand for ambulatory intravenous administration of medications, for example, iron to raise hemoglobin and fight anemia, or substances to treat bone fragility or osteoporosis. The sector where we are does not have facilities like the one we propose, so we are convinced that we would directly and indirectly benefit the 650,000 people that are our target population. The project will not have high costs, since we have the physical area and the human resources. It will be necessary to acquire the medicines, which at the moment are not part of our available supplies and to equip and furnish the necessary space and then get down to work.
