DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROYECTO
Durante el Programa CAHI Fellows, Josué trabajó un Programa de Atención Integral con la Alcaldía de Yoro Yoro para mejorar acceso a atención médica a las comunidades indígenas de los lugares más postergados. Empoderando estas comunidades con Atención Médica Integral orientado a la prevención y ofrecido por un grupo de médicos generales, especialistas, odontólogos, enfermeros y otros. Además implementaremos talleres a sus lideres, capacitaciones, brigadas y muchos servicios más, que vendrán a disminuir y/o erradicar las muertes materno-infantil, enfermedades crónicas, y patologías sin tratamiento. La meta es poder mejorar la calidad y el estilo de vida para que la población viva sin desigualdad e inequidad social que actualmente existen.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
During the CAHI Fellows Program, Josué worked on a Comprehensive Attention Program with the municipality of Yoro Yoro to improve access to medical care for indigenous communities in the most neglected places. We are empowering these communities with Comprehensive Medical Care oriented toward prevention and offered by a group of general practitioners, specialists, dentists, nurses and others. We will also implement workshops for community leaders, training, brigades and many other services that will reduce and/or eradicate maternal and child deaths, chronic diseases, and untreated pathologies. The goal is to improve quality of life and lifestyle so that the population can live without the inequality and social inequity that currently exist.
